During my chairmanship of the UNA-NCA Human Rights Committee, I collaborated with the committee and key partners in the city to produce two “shadow reports” that were submitted to the United Nations. The final report is the result of months of meetings, events, and data analysis. This report is about the situation of human rights in the District of Columbia as concerns the
lack of statehood and voting rights as well as entrenched inequality and
the lack of affordable housing.
